people often complain about "pointless" pictures of the sunset and clouds plastered and shared everywhere on instagram and other social media sites. they blame the photos for being cliche, useless, and void of meaning. as my brother often says, "pictures of pretty clouds just say that you like clouds. a lot. so what?"
what's what is that while "meaningful" photographs taken by professionals may seem more important, a simple shot to capture something beautiful and share it with the world can be just as valuable--if not more.
every post reminds you to pay attention to the world and appreciate the little random things that you have no control over. you don't need fancy cameras and techniques to share something that makes you feel...well, something. cherishing the little things can make or break a day.
cliche isn't bad--something cliche has just become cliche from overuse of it, and why not? if it's something good enough and important enough for overuse, then the value in it is enormous.
so keep going, instagrammers. every sunset or cloud picture is an advertisement for the sky and the world.
and given the state of the world right now, they kinda need the help.
